Front of the House Food & Beverage Supervisor

Immediate position available. Busy private country club, located close to St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Ruskin, Apollo Beach and Brandon areas. Ready to take the next step to a supervisory position. Reasonable hours no late nights.

Full time position hourly or salary, vacation pay, sick pay along with health benefits

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and works directly with the service staff. Is responsible for ensuring that all Club Members and guests needs are supported with the highest levels of customer service.  Assist the Food & Beverage Manager with the day-to-day operations, supervision of staff and delegate opening & closing responsibilities. Also promote and ensure a safe and healthy environment for all staff and guests.

  • Assist in overseeing the daily food and beverage operations.
  • Ensure the delivery of consistent food and beverage service to all members and guests.
  • Communicate daily tasks to service staff.
  • Monitor service levels and table assignments.
  • Effectively manage employee performance.
  • Provide the necessary training and coaching for staff.
  • Foster a safe working environment.
  • Maintain up to date training and procedures manuals.
  • Assist with maintenance of POS system by ensuring proper data entry, item pricing and other basic functions.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Respond to health and safety issues and emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Hostess, Server, Bar Tending and Banquet knowledge is required.
  • College or diploma/degree in Hospitality and Tourism or related program is an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • High Hospitality quotient person.
  • Smart Serve Certification.
  • Knowledge of restaurant and food and beverage operations.
  • Familiar with POS systems, knowledge of  IBS is a plus
  • Supervisory experience in a busy food and beverage environment is preferred.
  • Schedule includes evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL FACTORS:

· Must be able to stand and walk for up to five (5) hours without sitting
· Clubs operate seven days per week. May be required to work evenings, weekends, holiday
