Seasonal Event Coordinator 

This is an ideal career opportunity for an individual with experience at a full-service hotel or country club, who wants to join a progressive company and who excels at Event Planning.

SCOPE OF THE POSITION:  

Build our meeting and banquet business. The position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Responsible for all catered functions booked at the Club from inception to execution stage, including the detailing and execution of member events and corporate events i.e., tournaments.
  • Effectively sell event space, food, beverage, and function planning services of the Club to maximize revenue.
  • Generate new business and maintain regular contact with present accounts to maximize repeat business.
  • Develop customized menus for guests, when required.
  • Monitor booking trends and actively solicit new business.
  • Work in conjunction with the entire Hospitality Team to ensure all events are successfully completed with 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Golf team to ensure all corporate events are executed successfully and to act as the main contact of the home club.
  • Coordinate with the Golf team, sponsors and convenors for a smooth registration, correct hole signage, aid in directing groups to their starting holes, complete scoring and help with the coordination of staff and their responsibilities.
  • Ensure all BEO’s and floor plans are prepared and posted correctly and all charges due to the Club are recovered from our clients.
  • Obtain signed contracts 7 days prior to the event to guarantee details and numbers and send to the appropriate departments. 
  • Submit final billing to corporate office.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Excellent customer service, leadership, communication, & organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher and email communication.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Event Experience is preferred.
