Position Summary

We are seeking a Pesticide Spray Applicator to join our Turf Management team. This role focuses on the safe and effective application of plant protection products to maintain healthy turfgrass across our 18 hole championship and 9 hole academy golf courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent

  • Safely operate and maintain spray equipment (walk-behind and ride-on units)

  • Accurately mix and apply products according to label directions and best practices

  • Maintain detailed application and safety records

  • Follow all Ontario Ministry of Environment and workplace safety guidelines

  • Clean and maintain spray equipment after each application

  • Monitor turf conditions and report issues to the management team

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

  • Willingness to learn proper pesticide handling and application

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Physically capable of lifting equipment and standing for extended periods

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings

  • Comfortable operating various spray application equipment

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Ontario Pesticide Applicator License (Landscape / Exterminator)

  • Previous golf course or turf maintenance experience

  • Mechanical aptitude with turf equipment

Note: Candidates without a pesticide license are strongly encouraged to apply. Training and mentorship will be provided.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or general education degree.
  • Prefer golf course experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Shift starts at 5:30am
