Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Turf Operator to join our agronomy team. The Turf Operator is responsible for the daily operation of specialized turf equipment, assisting with course maintenance, and ensuring the golf course remains in optimal condition year-round.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a variety of equipment including triplex mowers, fairway mowers, greens rollers, utility vehicles, aerifiers, and sprayers and various hand tools.
- Perform routine golf course maintenance of greens, tees, collars, fairways, and roughs, including bunker care, edging, and debris removal.
- Assist with irrigation system checks, minor repairs, and water management practices.
- Monitor turf health, identify issues such as pests or disease, and report findings to the Superintendent.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, serviced, refueled and safely stored after use.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Follow course standards and instructions from the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
- Help set up the course for daily play, including tee markers, hole locations, and signage
Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping crew preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with turf equipment operation a plus.
- Irrigation repair and drainage experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the golf schedule.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat and humidity.
Work Conditions
- Outdoor work in South Florida’s tropical climate: high temperatures, humidity, rain and cold.
- Exposure to fertilizers, chemicals, and motorized equipment
- Fast-paced, physically active role requiring walking, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods (5 hours) without sitting

Physical Factors:
