Job Title: Outside Golf Services

Department: Golf Operations
Reports To: Head Golf Professional / Outside Services Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Position Type: Part-Time

Job Summary:

The Outside Golf Services Attendant plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by assisting members and guests with all aspects of their golf experience outside the golf shop. This includes managing golf carts, handling bags, maintaining the driving range, and supporting overall flow and pace of play. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, and enjoys working in an outdoor environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
  • Assist with loading and unloading golf bags from vehicles and golf carts.
  • Clean and stage golf carts before and after use, ensuring they are fully charged and stocked.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bag storage and cart barn areas.
  • Manage and maintain the driving range, including setting up balls, collecting range balls, and cleaning range equipment.
  • Monitor pace of play and assist with on-course services when needed (e.g., water stations, course signage, restocking supplies).
  • Provide directions, course information, and assist with any customer needs.
  • Support tournament setup and breakdown, including signage, cart staging, and scorecard distribution.
  • Perform daily cleaning duties for carts, clubs, and range equipment.
  • Follow club procedures for securing golf equipment and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience in a customer service or golf-related role is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive, friendly attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in an outdoor setting for extended periods.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of golf and interest in the sport is highly desirable.
  • Must have very good time management and organizational skills, and be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team structure.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, rain, heat).
  • Requires standing, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
  • Interaction with members, guests, and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage based on experience.
  • May include tips, golf privileges, and employee discounts depending on facility.
