Helpdesk Technician

The Helpdesk Technician is responsible for providing first-level internal technical support to all ClubLink PC users to resolve hardware, software or network issues. The Helpdesk Technician must also provide after-hours support to all ClubLink PC users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Provide internal technical support and remote troubleshooting to all ClubLink PC users
  • Create/maintain internal Helpdesk tickets for tracking purposes and follow up with customers to ensure the issue has been resolved
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, email or IM
  • Provide support for mobile devices Android, iOS 
  • Repair broken or malfunctioning computer software and hardware including workstations and servers
  • Install/maintain computer software, printers and replace retired hardware as required
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange maintenance (hybrid environment both on-prem and Microsoft 365)
  • Monitor WAN traffic and network status at remote locations
  • Create incident tickets with ISP and other third-party vendors as required
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions from employees to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements in procedures and workflow
  • Provide after-hours support to all ClubLink PC users Help users with software, hardware, and network failure
  • Other projects upon managers' requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • College Education (Field of Study: Computer Systems and Networking)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a call center for desktop/server support
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory environment
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and Office Suite, Azure and Office365 Suite
  • Knowledge of Citrix environments
  • Knowledge of PC hardware/servers/printers
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others
  • Strong organization, detail-oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in English or Bilingual (French)
  • Customer service focused
  • A+, MCSE or Networking Certificates an asset
